Since our establishment in August 2012, SPET Engineering & Consultancy Services has been on an extraordinary journey of growth, innovation, and commitment to excellence in South Sudan's oil and gas industry.
From humble beginnings as a joint venture partnership, we have evolved into one of the leading engineering consultancy firms in the region, serving major petroleum operating companies and delivering world-class Project Management Consultancy, Operation & Maintenance, and Environmental Monitoring services.
KEY MILESTONES
Company Founded
SPET Engineering & Consultancy Company Limited (SPECS) was established on the 18th August 2012 under the joint venture partnership between Nile Petroleum Corporation (NILEPET) and Beijing JNHBT Project Management Consultancy Service Company Limited.
First Major Contract
The company signed its first major contract with Dar Petroleum Operating Company (DPOC) to provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for Block 3 and 7 operations in Upper Nile State.
Expansion to GPOC & SPOC
SPECS expanded its operations by securing contracts with Greater Pioneer Operating Company (GPOC) and Sudd Petroleum Operating Company (SPOC) for Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services as well as PMC services.
100+ Employees
With contracts worth millions of dollars, SPECS grew to hire more than one hundred employees, establishing itself as a key player in South Sudan's oil and gas industry with a strong local workforce.
Environmental Monitoring Services
SPECS added Environmental Monitoring Services to its portfolio, conducting comprehensive environmental impact assessments and air/water quality monitoring for operating companies across South Sudan.
Joint Venture Restructuring
The joint venture partnership was restructured and is currently between NILPET and Qingdao China Petroleum GeoHydroEngineering Co. Ltd, strengthening the company's technical capabilities and international reach.
Continued Growth
SPECS continues to deliver top-notch services across multiple blocks and operations, investing in fresh graduates and experienced professionals to build a talented team of engineers from across South Sudan and beyond.
